Gratitude: Living A Life Of Thankfulness Sermon Series Week 1

Gratitude: Living A Life Of Thankfulness Sermon Series Week 1

Gratitude is about being thankful for what you do have rather than being upset about what you don’t have. Gratitude is an essential ingredient on the journey to living the abundant life Jesus promises. And finally, gratitude is most beautifully seen in our response to the free gift of God, his son Jesus.

Thanksgiving Anthem

It’s easy to say thanks for the things we can see every day: food on our table, family and friends, the beauty all around us. But we often forget to thank God for the things we can’t see or touch, for not only the good things, but also the challenges we face in life, and for the great sacrifice that Jesus made for us.

The Power of Gratitude

Thanksgiving is a time to gather with loved ones and to reflect on the blessings in our lives. It's a time to express gratitude for all that we have been given, both big and small. But gratitude is more than just a holiday tradition - it's a powerful spiritual practice that can transform our lives. When we cultivate a heart of gratitude, we become more aware of God's presence in our lives, and more appreciative of His goodness and grace. Let us make thanksgiving a daily practice, and let it fill our hearts with joy, peace, and hope.

Grateful

Living a grateful life isn’t always easy or convenient but it’s worth it in the end. There’s great healing to be found in the regular practice of gratitude. Take time this coming week to specifically name the blessings in your life. Focus your attention on all that God has done for you. Reposition your perspective, humble yourself, and allow space for the healing power of gratitude to soak over you.
