The Way Sermon Series Week 1 – A New Way
Jesus is a different kind of messiah than the one the people of Israel were looking for. He did not come as a conquering king like many expected, but rather as a gentle and lowly servant ready to trade His very life for others. The beatitudes of Jesus are a powerful reminder that the blessings of the Kingdom are not just for those with the power or position, but they are available for the meek, the broken-hearted, the gentle, the persecuted, the forgotten… They are available for all of us because all of us need Jesus. He makes a new way for all to be saved and to experience the manifold blessings of God.
Life With God
The last thing Jesus came to do was start another religion. He came to show us what life in the Kingdom of God looks like. Through the cross, Jesus offers us this same kind of life - a life lived in relationship with God. This powerful video illustrates the life changing invitation that God has made to us.
