Love is meant to be sincere, sometimes we lean on it because we have to and not the want to. So many things are formed in love and starts in love. God gave me a picture of a baby, babies feel so many things, but they don't always know why. All they know is they want to feel loved and cared for. Well really that hasn't changed since we've grown up, all we want to know is the security we can find in love. That is why it must be sincere. Serving the Lord I've found brings such a great joy, it brings life and meaning and love. You start to feel his heart as you show him yours. This is love, a devoted relationship to one another. God shows you his heart in his word, in music, in nature, in people. He speaks to each one of us differently as you get to know Him. Everyday you learn something knew as you grow in your relationship with him. God wants our heart, our undivided attention. The word undivided means: separated or broken in parts, concentrated on or devoted completely to one object. Some synonyms for devoted is: loyal, faithful, true, constant, committed, dedicated and attentive.
So as you see it, being devoted to someone in love is the only way we can really truly love, with our hearts. All of us, to put your full focus on. That is what your relationship with God should look like. Your love must be sincere not only when it comes to God, but this shows us how to love people the same. If you love God this way, you will start to love people in the same, with a sincere heart.
Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in Hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with the Lords people who are in need. Practice hospitality. Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. Rejoice with those who rejoice; morn with those who morn. Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited. Do not repay evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. -Romans 12:9-18
