Finding Encouragement in The Word of God

Listen to Our Podcast Below:

We all need some encouragement from time to time. The good news is that we have the Word of God as our ultimate source of encouragement! During any dilemma, or when we’re challenged by a crisis, we can continue to be hopeful and encouraged as we keep trusting in God

Hi, I’m Pastor Rip Roberts and I am thrilled to welcome you to Point of Grace, the podcast ministry of Grace Point Fellowship!

Episode 1: Finding Encouragement in The Word of God

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” –John 16:33

Pessimists and Cynics are a dime a dozen. You don’t have to look far to find some Gloomy Gus who will tell you who’s better than you are or what’s wrong with you … It’s easy to find some Negative Nancy who will tell you when you’ve been a disappointment … where you don’t measure up and why your future looks miserable!

But where do you turn when you need to feel good about yourself, about the world around you and about what the future holds?

I’ve got good news for you.

There are real reasons for you to be encouraged and they can be found in

God’s Word.

The Word of God doesn’t simply encourage you to “rejoice always” but it also gives you hundreds of convincing reasons to do so!

I’m going to share with you just a sampling of the encouragement and inspiration you’ll find in the pages of Scripture.

“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” (Deuteronomy 31:6)

Knowing you’re not alone, no matter the situation, whether it’s an important job interview or having to confront a loved one who needs to hear a difficult truth, you can have the confidence and courage you need to succeed.

No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it. (1 Corinthians 10:13)

You are not at the mercy of your impulses. No matter how strong your desire is to get revenge on someone who hurt you, your resolve is stronger. No matter how hopeless it seems to try to resist a temptation that’s beaten you in the past, there is hope.

Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken. (Psalm 55:22)

Are you weighed down by guilt and shame?

Have you made a decision that you now regret?

Are you feeling insecure and unsure about your place in the world?

Pour out your feelings to the Lord. Don’t try to carry your emotional and spiritual burdens yourself.

SO..

Be encouraged in God’s Word and rest in His promises.

It is my prayer that every time you tune into the Point of Grace Podcast you become better equipped and more encouraged thru the teaching and practical application of the Word of God.

So, stay tuned, keep listening, keep reading, keep sharing and remember that God loves you and we here at Grace-Point Fellowship Love you too!

After all, that’s the Point of Grace.
