GOD’S RESOLUTION:

GOD’S RESOLUTION:

He is resolved: To never leave you or forsake you

Don’t love money. Be happy with what you have because God has said, “I will never abandon you or leave you. So we can confidently say, “The Lord is my helper. I will not be afraid. What can mortals do to me?” (Hebrews 13:5-6)

You know what a resolution is.

It’s a firm decision to do or not do something.

Every New Year’s millions of people make resolutions.

We make firm decisions to do or not do something.

We resolve to start this or start that. Take up this or give up that.

For the most part we really mean it. We are truly sincere.

Yet, the statistics show that within two weeks a third of these resolutions are abandoned.

By June, the stats say, that we will have given up on over half of our New Year’s resolutions.

So here is my recommendation for the best resolution for you to make this year—focus on God’s resolutions!

Remember what Scripture declares about God;

God is not like people. He tells no lies.

He is not like humans. He doesn’t change his mind.

When he says something, he does it.

When he makes a promise, he keeps it. –Numbers 23:19

God’s resolution was made long before the beginning of a new year and His resolve will last longer than two weeks or six-months.

God’s resolution was made before the beginning of time and His resolve is good FOREVER.

God has resolved to never leave you or forsake you.

When we have God, we have all we need.

Material things can decay, disappear, and disappoint.

They can be superficial, stained and stolen.

But God will never leave us or forsake us.

The promises of God are fulfilled to us in Jesus Christ, so we can claim His promises for ourselves.

When you focus on God’s resolution, His firm decision to never abandon you or leave you, His promise can become your source of peace.

Because of God’s Resolution you can live free of fear of what people can do or what circumstances might bring because you know that no one can do anything to you apart from the will of God.

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. –Romans 8:28

Because of God’s Resolution you can live with confidence that no matter what happens (yes even the bad things) God is working for your good and His divine purpose!

Because of God's unwavering, unchanging, unfailing resolve you can live with the assurance that nothing can ever separate you from the God who loves you and has resolved to never abandon you!

Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? (As the Scriptures say, “For your sake we are killed every day; we are being slaughtered like sheep.”) No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us. And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord. -- Romans 8:35-39

Because of God’s Resolution you can live with confidence that no matter what happens (yes even the bad things) God is working for your good and His divine purpose!

We can live focused on God’s promises and face the challenges of life with a confidence that’s not based on our own strength or willpower but on God’s word and His Character.

He is resolved to never leave you or forsake you!
