The Love Has A Name Sermon Series Week 3 - Love Adores Extravagantly

The love of Christ adores extravagantly, and we can follow His example. This is the last week in our Love Has A Name Series and we’re going to take loving others and sharing our lives together up a notch to the level that Jesus loved. Jesus loved extravagantly and He continues to so. He adores His bride, the Church and we have so much to learn from Him about sacrificial, messy love.

Three Sixteen

For God so loved the World, you…and me. He loved us with an indescribable, unrelenting love. A love aimed at bringing us home. As a prodigal returns to their Father, so that we too could return…to our Creator. Through Jesus we can have life…life eternal. This love shines a light…guiding us into the arms of our Savior. For God so loved the World.

GOD LOVES US NO MATTER WHAT

God loves you and it's not a building that He wants to fill...It's your heart. How would our daily lives look if we lived as if God's love and grace for us abounded. What would it look like if we lived like we knew God's forgiveness and mercy was real. What we often forget when we are lonely, shameful, or simply distracted is that God loves us no matter what.I pray that from His glorious, unlimited resources He will empower you with inner strength through His Spirit. Then Christ will make His home in your hearts as you trust in Him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong.-Ephesians 3:16–17(NLT)

Put On Love

Colossians 3 reminds us to forgive one another as God has forgiven us and to put on love in all we do. Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. -Colossians 3:12-14(NIV)
